Introduction

California Capital provides Financial Literacy Education to youth and adults throughout the Sacramento region. Our program is mission driven with its core purpose being improvement of low and moderate income communities by empowerment of individuals through financial education which increases financial capability and economic opportunities. We offer a quality, robust financial education program. Our program was developed through extensive research in the areas of education and financial literacy. Our financial education program is strictly impact driven. We conduct extensive evaluation to ensure that the services we provide increases financial capability and allows our clients to contribute to their communities in positive ways.

We are aware that every individual learns in a unique way. In order to account for the variety of learning styles and life stages of our clients, we employ a number of instructional techniques. Included in our instructional techniques are instructor guided class discussions, short lectures, written activities, partner activities and discussions, group work, and even some kinesthetic learning activities. We approach our curriculum development from a holistic perspective. The topics we teach are all interrelated and we make sure the curriculum is specifically tailored to each unique audience.
